Level 1 Certified sUAS Thermographer® - Online Distance Learning

Level I Certified sUAS Thermographer® - Distance Learning is a 20 hour online course for the qualitative application of infrared thermal imaging using a drone based imager.  Click here to download a copy of the Level 1 sUAS Thermography course outline.

Course Delivery: Online, On-demand, Self-paced
Course Format: Multimedia (Video, Images, Audio, and Text)

Course topics include: overview of IR applications, heat transfer concepts, basic infrared theory, emittance, reflectance, transmittance, electrical systems inspections, active and passive drone thermography, insulated roof inspections, and more.

Applications include: sUAS thermography as it relates to electrical, mechanical, refractory, rotating equipment, building envelopes, flat roofs, and underground piping inspections.

The course tuition includes 24 hour online access for 60 days to course materials, a Student Reference Manual, course completion verification, and course material shipping.

After successful course completion, students are eligible to take the Certified sUAS Thermographer® exam. This exam can be taken online by video conference.

Certification is issued to students who achieve a score of 80% or higher on the exam.  Infraspection Institute certification does not expire.  There are no additional requirements for Infraspection Institute certification after successful completion of the exam.

For NDT personnel certification, our Level I, II, and III Certified Infrared Thermographer^® courses also meet all ASNT and ISO requirements for training.
